This is the issue:
We can access wifi fine. It says 5 bars. Router is next to TV. The Netflix button works--can watch Netflix just fine.
The issue is the Vizio apps. Not only can I not get the settings for the apps to come up, now when I push the Vizio button on the remote, and the apps bar comes up, but when I press 'ok' on say, Youtube, a side picture comes up telling us we need to connect to a network.
When I check connection, it says I can't download..and yet I can watch Netflix just fine.
I have changed the DNS and alternate DNS to '8-8-8-8' and to '8-8-4-4', and it still doesn't work.
Any ideas? I have yet to reset the set to factory standards, because I've seen conflicting info as for its value in fixing the problem.
This is my second modem. It's a Gateway, and I have comcast. The other modem had an issue, so comcast switched it out without connecting my tv set. So here I am months later, thinking all I had to do was put in my wifi password, because I had zero issues connecting to the Vizio apps on my old router. Sigh. It would make some sense if NO internet worked, and yet, I can get Netflix but only using the Netflix button? (only one that works by the way.)
I have a 4 year protection plan so if you experts feel its a bad tv, I will return it, but my gut instinct tells me there's just something screwy with my settings. Any help is appreciated!!

Vizio tv download not available but shows internet connection. I connect my mac pro hdmi cable with vizio smart tv and it shows not support and no signal my vizio tv is model m471i-a2? My vizio tablet only shows the vizio logo. Will not do anything else. It is fully charged? Vizio tv internet download not available.
